'One World Tree'

Post by Emmy »

Does anyone have access to 'One World Tree' (community tree)through Ancestry?
I've found an entry for Benedetta Ciccone and from what I gather it says it gives the name of her spouse etc but I dont have access to Ancestry. Be very grateful if someone could look this up for me.

Hey Emmy, no sources, no details…
The link is to only one tree,
the tree has no first names.
Very odd

Thank you vj
It does look odd and I cant understand it.
Could that information have been taken from a census?
Just wonder if she married a Saccoccio? or was perhaps a housekeeper to that family? But then I dont think that would have been put into a 'family tree'

My Benedetta was born in Italy in 1906
Many Thanks again vj for taking the time to look that up for me.

The tree will drop first names of Living persons to protect privacy, identity theft, etc. - Something new many of the sites are doing now due to legality of publishing names without a living person's permission.
My husband's family are from Itri and surrounding areas -- we have a Ciccone, many Saccoccia's and Saccoccio's (the A and O seemed to become interchangeable depending on who wrote the document when!) -- for instance one aunt has it spelled both ways on US immigration papers -- more interesting -- her husband spelled his last name with an O and hers was usually with an A on similar papers?!

Did the Benedetta in the passenger records turn out to be your Benedetta? If so, she arrived 1921 according to the record you posted, born 1906.

There is a Benedetta Fusco in the 1930 Detroit Census, born 1906, arrived 1921. Married at 17 to Alfonso Fusco who is 10 years older then she is.
Three daughters in 1930: Rosina, age 5; Josephine, age 3 y 4 months; and Yolanda, age 1 year 8m.

Could this be the person you are seeking?

Hope so.............Susan

Susan thank you for the pm. Yes I did miss this post and YES it IS the person I was trying to trace.

Some wonderful thins have happened recently. I have finally been in contact with a niece of Benedetta and she told me Benedetta's family lives near them and ALL the family are very interested that we exchange information.

I didnt have this information you have found, all I knew from last week was that Benedetta's married name was Fusco but we havent exchanged any other information yet other than she had daughters. Than you so much for sending that pm to me or it could have been a while before I noticed that

Now I'm going to try to find out if Benedetta's husband was born in USA or if he came from Sant'Elia. Maybe there could be a manifest for him ? If he did come from there I should already have the relevant films already on load at my FHC WOW!!!!

Thank you so much Susan this means a lot to me. (sending you a pm)

Hello Emmy! It is nice to meet you! I am the granddaughter of Benedetta Fusco (Ciccoine). Did you receive all the information from my family?
