come sopra = as above. means from the same town.

other part is not another name but rather noting that he (the father mentioned above) declares (lui dichiarate), same age, same place (come sopra again)...

right side is baptism record, left side is civil birth record.

mother catarina chiappe (daughter of Leonardo), wife of Lorenzo (son of giuseppe) oliveri. the other chiappe lady making the announcement was her sister.

notation on side indicayes she was married 08/20/1905 to angelo natale.

she was sixty (sessanta) and was a weaver (filatrice). her husband was liberio (usually spelled as libero - can't yet decipher the last name), her father was gen.....(still working on that) and her mother antonia.

this antonio died 12/29/1901 at the age of 44. his father was domenico and his mother carmela (?). he was single (celibe) at his death. i will try to decipher the mothers maiden name and note on the side later this evening.

his parents were antonio and lucia torri (?). the date of the record is that which you note, he died the day prior (ieri).

did you look through the processetti records (basically expanded marriage records) on the lds microfilm for your town? if they are available they would include a death record for parents/grandparents of individuals born in the early 1800's and allow you to trace back a couple of generations, usually...

september 27, 1867 was the birth date, the date of the record is september 30, 1867.

the right side of the document is the baptism information, the left side is about the birth. children were usually baptised the same day or two later at most. filomena was born 04/17/1860 to francesco verrillo, son of the deceased mattia, age 30, a vegetable peddler/farmer, and lusia montano, age 28...

literally means state of the souls which was the parish's way to account for a census of sorts. most parishes performed them at regular intervals. in my "hometown" they were performed in 1627, 1640, 1649, 1654 and into the 18th century. they are a great source of information for families a...
