My grandfather's name was Marino or Mariano and grandmother was Rosalie. Our family line is from Giuseppe, Mariano's younger brother. I've been researching the Rotolo Family from Alia in Napoleonville, LA and can probably provide information. Do you know your grandmother's name? There are 2 Marino Rotolo families in Napoleonville in the early 1900s.

The Louisiana Death Index for Orleans Parish has her death certificate as Theresa Toliver LeBlanc, dc 9 Aug 1919, age 41 years.

Website to locate sir names in communes.
I've used a website that will show the number of residents of a sir name in Italian communties but now I can't find it. It was something like the blachepages. Any one know the actual site? TIA

I've found a WWI Draft Registration record for Patrick Fred Romito, age 21, lives 114 Pearl St, Portland Me. This could be the younger brother Pasquale. Patrick Romito also died in Los Angeles, CA. The bad news is the FHC has microfilmed records of Vico Equense beginning in 1901. Too late to help with this family as they immigrated in 1891-1894.

I checked the Baton Rouge Diocese Catholic Church records for the years 1895-1900. I find 2 other children for Filippo Cascio and Lucia Accardo: Salvatore born 18 Feb 1900 at Lutcher, La and Sylvestre born 26 Dec 1898 baptised at St Michael's in Convent, LA. In the Alia records the name is spelled MICELI. In Louisiana records I have seen it spelled various ways, MICELA, MICELE, MICHAEL, MICHELE, and MICHEL.
